Lexington Avenue and East 24th Street prior to Demolition,
1996
In 1986, Baruch College adopted a campus master plan to acquire permanent facilities
within the vicinity of its main building on 23rd Street. The plan identified
the blocks between 24th and 26th Streets, Third and Lexington Avenues as a potential
north campus. This included ten commercial and residential structures on the
block between 24th and 25th Streets. These buildings were demolished in 1996
to clear the site for construction of the Baruch Academic Complex.
