The H. Kauffman and Sons Saddlery Company was founded in 1875 in the Lower East
Side of Manhattan. It moved to East 24th Street in 1922, where it remained until
1991. Throughout this period, Kauffman’s Saddlery was one of the premier dealers
of riding equipment in the United States.
