East 24th Street, 1996
Detail of buildings constructed by the Fiss, Doerr and Carroll Horse Company
in 1906. The building on the left was the Auction Mart where large auctions
of horses were held. The building on the right was a seven-story vertical stable
building. Both structures were converted to other uses before being demolished
in 1996 to clear the site for the Baruch Academic Complex, completed in 2001.
