Kips Bay Plaza, 1958
Rendering of Kips Bay Plaza, an apartment complex constructed between 30th and
33rd Streets, First and Second Avenues, as part of an urban renewal project
carried out in Rose Hill and Kips Bay in the 1950s and 1960s. Sited on a ten-acre
superblock, the complex included a park set between two concrete apartment slabs
designed by I.M. Pei.
